Below is our proposed floorplan for the new space:

We are proposing to use the following products:

Height-adjustable care bench – Premium 175

Height-adjustable washbasin – Matrix basin

Ceiling hoist system – GoLift 400

Other items will include a comfort-height WC with folding grab rails each side, vertical grab rails each side of the basin and WC, a mirror and coat hooks, along with waste bins and towel and soap dispensers.

Following our workshop, the following suggestions have been made to improve the design of the space:

  • Add a second emergency pull cord by the bench
  • Add a mirror to the wall, left of sink
  • Coat hooks will be positioned on the end wall next to the door
  • Paper hand towels will be used, no hand dryer
  • Lights will illuminate automatically
  • Lights will be controlled by a dimmer switch also
  • A shelf unit to be positioned between WC and bench for wet wipes etc
  • Two bins, one for sanitary waste, one for paper hand towels etc
  • Privacy curtain to be positioned next to WC
