You can choose from four different models to match a wide range of patient sizes and weights – as well as its own range of optional accessories, including a patient scale and a four-point carry bar.
But most important:
The GoLift ceiling track hoist system is Changing Places compliant.
So if you’re planning a new Changing Places for your venue or space, the GoLift is usually an easy choice for your ceiling track hoist.

The MoLift Air is a compact hoist unit that can be fitted onto either a ceiling-mounted track system, or a free-standing gantry.
But despite its smaller size, it can safely lift patients up to 500kg in weight (with the highest capacity model).
Its silent operation, it also comes with a quick release device to take the trolley from the track — making it even more convenient to access the unit during servicing and repairs.

3. MoLift Quattro
Installation Guide |
Free-standing gantry ✅ | X-Y (H-frame) ✅ |
Changing Places compliant ❌ | In-rail charging ❌ |
While the GoLift is a ceiling-mounted system, the MoLift Quattro uses a free-standing gantry.
That usually means a more straightforward installation — one that often comes in at a lower cost.
You won’t need to install any fixings into the ceilings or walls, and you won’t need a structural survey before your installation.
But this freestanding gantry isn’t just a time and money-saver:
It also gives you more flexibility in how and where you use your hoist.
If you need a temporary hoist for a situation that’s likely to change, you can install the Quattro without any changes to the room it’s in. And if you later need to use the room for a different purpose, you can reinstall the same hoist in a different room — or even a different premises.
The MoLift Quattro can lift patients up to 300kg using four-post traverse system on a lightweight aluminium frame — giving you full mobility with an X-Y travel system. (Also known as an ‘H-frame’ system).
That makes it perfect for anyone who needs multiple transfers between different places in the same room — such as a bed, a wheelchair, a toilet, and the floor. You can choose from 2 different sizes to match the room you’re installing into:
- 3000mm x 3000mm
- 4000mm x 4000mm
But whichever size you choose, remember that the Quattro comes with a fixed height of 2430mm.
So while it’s a good fit for the vast majority of rooms in the UK, it might not be the right choice if you’re working with a space that has low ceilings.
3. MoLift Duo
Installation Guide |
Free-standing gantry✅ | X-Y (H-frame) ❌ |
Changing Places compliant ❌ | In-rail charging ❌ |
Like the Quattro, the MoLift Duo ceiling track hoist can lift up to 300kg using a free-standing gantry — which means it’s best suited for temporary hoist settings where you don’t need a permanent installation.
But unlike the Quattro, the Duo uses a straight-track system — not an X-Y or H-frame system.
Instead of giving you multiple transfer points across an entire room, this straight-track system is dedicated to one specific transfer — like moving from a bed to a wheelchair, or from a bed to a toilet.
But that also means that the Duo is a smaller installation that can be used in tighter spaces and smaller rooms.
On top of that, the Duo also comes with an adjustable height of between 2.25m and 2.55m — which could make it the perfect fit for a residential setting with low ceilings.
