Happy Futures, a care provider supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs, reached out to us after attending one of our Lunch-and-Learn sessions. During our conversation, they shared details of a property in Bridlington, Scarborough, that needed urgent adaptations. With a new tenant scheduled to move in just six weeks later, they needed a partner who could move quickly and deliver a solution tailored to the tenant’s needs.
The property was still occupied when we received the enquiry, so we couldn’t carry out a site survey straight away. However, as soon as the tenants vacated, we were on-site within 24 hours to assess the space. With just three weeks left to design, manufacture, deliver, and install the necessary adaptations, we had to work quickly but carefully to ensure everything was ready in time.
Our solution included bespoke room padding for corridors, bedrooms, and radiators – all designed to make the property as safe and comfortable as possible. We worked closely with Happy Futures, occupational therapists, and our trusted suppliers throughout the process, ensuring the final result met everyone’s expectations. Communication was key, and we made sure everyone stayed informed and involved at every stage.
On 11th September, the installation was completed, transforming the property into a safe and supportive home ready for its new tenant. Despite the tight timeline, we delivered everything on schedule, ensuring the space was not just functional but also welcoming and empowering for the individual moving in.
Happy Futures were delighted with the outcome, praising our ability to turn things around so quickly without compromising on quality. For us at CareSpaces, this project is a perfect example of what we’re all about: creating bespoke environments where people can live, thrive, and feel supported.
