The new Park Hyatt Hotel launched in Nine Elms, London in October 2024 offering 5-star accommodation across 203 bedrooms in the spectacular 160 metre 42-storey glass and limestone tower. The hotel takes up the first 18 floors of this stunning building and includes a expansive health suite with a 65ft infinity pool

CareSpaces assisted the pool contractor in specifying and delivering a mobile pool hoist which would allow disabled guests to access the pool independently.

The I-Swim 2 Maxi hoist was selected for its swivelling seat and its long reach and high lift enabling it to lift users over the solid stone waterfall coping which surrounds the pool.

The I-Swim hoist sits on the pool surround and lifts the user over the pool edge and into the pool with its powered swivel action

The I-Swim 2 hoist has the advantage of a swivel lifting boom, which once a user has boarded the seat on the pool surround, will lift and swivel the bather round and lower them into the pool without the hoist needing to be physically moved.

This feature maximises the independence of the user, and reduces the reliance on poolside staff.

The I-Swim Maxi is a specific model which has more lift height than the regular hoist. This also increases the forward extension of the seat when it lowers into the pool
