The all-new Whitehill & Borden Leisure Centre opened in November 2020, and has a pool hoist and a Changing Place facility installed by Care Spaces.
The Changing Places facility was designed in conjunction with the architect, and finally came to fruition in November 2020.
Whilst the scheme was delayed by two Covid-19 lockdowns, delivery and installation of the specialist facility took place in the summer and was ready to hand over before the centre opened.
Both the Main pool and the Learner pool have a socket installed for the Dipper pool hoist.
The Changing Places is adjacent to the main changing area, and features a GoLift ceiling hoist system, a powered Select basin lifter with a Matrix basin and PRT623 thermostatic tap, and a Barella shower trolley, alongside a Butterfly privacy screen.
